Launched in 2004, Full Tilt Poker is making a push to be a household name with a large 600$ deposit bonus match. Endorsed by many professional players including Phil Ivey, Howard Lederer, Chris Ferguson and Erik Seidel, to name a few - you can even play against them! The graphics are unique featuring cartoon style avatars with customizable reactions.
Software | 8.0 | Four of a Kind
As mentioned, the Full Tilt Poker software boasts cartoon graphics and vivacious colours. Unfortunately this seems to slow the action ever so slightly but it is nice to get away from the everyday and see a unique feature in the online poker world. I found the overall speed of cards being dealt and folded a little slow for my tastes even though other testers didn’t seem to notice the difference. Overall the software is reliable, effective and easy to use.
Starting Bonus | 8.0 | Four of a Kind
Full Tilt Poker offers a 100% bonus on your starting deposit up to $600 - much more than other sites as well as a 50% up to $300 on reload deposits. To release the bonus you’ll need to earn the required player points - each point is worth .06$ of the bonus. Every hand, even if you folded, earns you player points so you will typically unlock about 5$ per hour in a low stakes ring game.
Promotions | 8.0 | Four of a Kind
The promotions offered at Full Tilt Poker are indeed varied, with many World Series of Poker giveaways to win your way into the main event. Also, plenty of guaranteed tournaments and free money giveaways are offered as well as the starting and reload bonuses. As an added incentive, should you win your way to the WSOP through Full Tilt Poker and manage to win the tournament, they’ll add an extra 10 million to your winnings! Also, as you play you will collect Full Tilt points, which can be used to redeem tournament tickets and various other goodies.
Competition | n/a | n/a
Many people and professionals alike gauge soft competition by the view flop % alone. While a high % would indicate a looser game, it doesn’t necessarily mean the players are playing weak poker. Also, a large amount of traffic is often correlated with many soft players fish. Keep in mind, with more fish in the water, more sharks soon follow. The trick to finding an easy game in the middle to low limits is simple, keep an eye on the table and watch for weak play, loose calls and players looking to draw out or playing weak aces. Know your game, know your strengths and abuse those strengths. For more information on poker play please see our Strategies section.
Traffic | 7.0 | Full House
Despite being relatively new, Full Tilt Poker has a nice traffic count. During the peak hours you’ll find about 2000 ring game players and upwards of 8000 tournament players.
Rake | 5.0 | Straight
The rake at Full Tilt Poker is right around the industry average... 5% of the pot up to 3$. In lower limit games the maximum rake is reduced to fit the limit. Any hands folded before the flop are not counted towards the rake.
Types of Games Offered | 8.0 | Four of a Kind
Full Tilt Poker has a decent game selection, with Holdem, Razz, Omaha Hi and Hi-Lo, 7-Card-Stud Hi and Hi-Lo. There are no-limit and pot-limit in Holdem and pot-limit in both Omaha games. Noticeably missing is draw poker. The only online site to offer the game "Horse"- poker's version of the pentathlon, where players compete across five different poker games. Starting with Hold 'em, you play for 10 minutes, and then switch to Omaha Hi-Lo. After another 10 minutes, the game rotates to Razz, then 7-Card Stud, and finally, Hi-Lo 7-Card Stud. Sounds exciting for the poker enthusiast!
Freerolls | 4.0 | Three of a Kind
Not the top site for freerolls as most of them require Full Tilt Player Points to enter. On the plus side, the prizes are generally more lucrative.
Support | 9.0 | Straight Flush
Currently they only have email support which will likely be improved soon. I received a thoughtful and knowledgeable response in a timely matter and was impressed.

You can withdraw your winnings via:
NETeller, FirePay, Credit Card, Money transfer/eMoney Transfer
